On June 15-16, 2007, the Humane Society had a booth at the Secret City Festival in Oak Ridge, TN. We distributed applications for our spay/neuter program, as well as information on membership, our Flea Market, and our Education program. We had tshirts and catnip pillows available for sale.

On Saturday, we offered a free dog wash. Here are a couple of photos:

In addition to the dog wash, we also sponsored two contests: Guess the Number of Dog Bones in the Jar, and a dog parade with gifts for Cutest Dog, Smallest Dog, Biggest Dog, and Best Costume. The prize for the Guess the Number of Dog Bones in the Jar contest was a $25 gift certificate to Kroger's. The winner of each of the dog parade categories received a variety of dog care supplies.
The Dog Parade was hosted by Kristin Olsen from the Humane Society, and judged by Michele Cloutier and Susan Blackford from the Humane Society, Brian Porter from Anderson County Animal Control, and Sparky the Fire Dog.

In the Dog Parade, the winner of the Cutest Dog was Snoopy. The winner of the Smallest Dog was Holly. The winner of the Biggest Dog was Sophie. The winner of the Best Costume was Emma.
We would like to sincerely thank the City and the staff of the Civic Center for all of their assistance, as well as all of our members who volunteered their time to make this event such a success.
We look forward to seeing everyone next year.
