As stated in our ByLaws, our purpose is to promote the humane care and responsible treatment of animals. To implement this purpose the objectives of the society are:
Our Spay/Neuter Program is partially funded through grants from the DJ&T Foundation, PetSmart Charities, the Tennessee Department of Agriculture, and the Anderson County Commission. All of our our efforts are made possible by monies collected from donations, fundraisers, coin banks, membership dues, memorials, newspaper recycling, and a flea market on Warehouse Road.
We would also like to sincerely thank our local veterinarians for partipating in our program. Please volunteer or donate to help us in our goal to reduce pet overpopulation and prevent the subsequent killing of unwanted pets in the animal shelters in our community.
We also sponsor the Pet of the Week ad in The Oak Ridger newspaper to benefit the Oak Ridge Animal Shelter.
The society consists of members of the Anderson County community, and is represented by an all-volunteer Board of Directors. Our Board of Directors are:
